Yes, you read that correctly. Iron Maiden is releasing their own beer this spring. Called “Trooper,” this golden ale will feature Bobec, Goldings and Cascade hops. Vocalist Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden is a fan of cask ale, or real ale, and wanted to release a beer that wasn’t just a gimmick, but a true British beer. With this in mind, Robinsons Brewery helped him to release Trooper as a cask beer as well as a bottled beer.
Sadly, no word if this beer will ever make it across the pond to the US, but here’s to wishful thinking.
